SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA MUSIC AWARDS Contest Terms & Guidelines

The Southern California Music Awards consists of a series of events and performances dedicated to the recognition and further exposure of talented performers. Jewel's Catch One venue has been selected as G.R.I.P.’s choice to host its weekly nomination ceremony. G.R.I.P., Sony, Monster, Heineken and their affiliates are sending out, as well as accepting nominations, via email, from some of the best artists in the Southern California area!.

How is the SCMA held?

The SCMA is an ongoing, genre specific night of performances and vocalists acknowledgements. Invited nominees will be given an opportunity to perform and accept the recognition. The first night of performances by pre-nominated guests will be Tuesday, January 27th, 2009. Nominations will continue to be sent throughout the year and the recognition/ performances will go on every Tuesday night. The SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA MUSIC AWARDS will culminate with a banquet ceremony at the end of the year and the selecting of the year’s Special Nominee.

WHO CAN BE NOMINATED? CAN I NOMINATE SOMEONE?

This competition is not age, race, sexual orientation, or gender, specific. While the SCMA sponsors are actively sifting through its resources of talented singers to send nominations to, we also encourage others to nominate people they know (NO you cannot nominate yourself)

WHAT COULD THIS DO FOR ME AND WHY SHOULD I APPLY?

Plain and simple... EXPOSURE! If you have the voice and the determination to share your gift with the world, it’s time to take it to the next level. This could be the boost you need and the opportunity you’ve been waiting for! Everyone knows that exposure translates into fans and fans translate into monetary benefits. Why not go for it???

To Apply for The SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA MUSIC AWARDS, just complete the simple CONTEST ENTRY FORM below as soon as possible, you don't want to miss out!
Don’t forget, the six weeks of Round One begin on Monday, February 16th, 2009!

No! There are no entrance fees or participation fees. In one word FREE!!

Visit the venue
Pick up entry pass and promotional material.
